Before a crowd of season ticket members and team partners, the club revealed the Regulators, an alternate identity that doesn’t simply nod to Long Beach history. It plants a flag in it.
In the 1990s, Long Beach became the epicenter of a cultural revolution. The G-Funk era didn’t just produce chart-topping records; it reshaped how the world heard music, how a generation carried itself, and how one city announced itself to the globe. That era put Long Beach on the map in a way that has never faded. The Regulators identity is built on that foundation: a tribute to the unmistakable swagger that has always defined this city, and a declaration that the Long Beach Coast is here to carry it forward.

For the Long Beach Coast, a brand-new club preparing for its inaugural 2026 season in the Pioneer Baseball League, the choice was instinctive. There was only one era worthy of this kind of tribute.
Fans can expect to see the team take the field in Regulators uniforms every Friday night throughout the season, officially dubbed Regulators Night. When the gates open at historic Blair Field, it won’t feel like a typical ballgame. The sounds of the G-Funk era will fill the stadium from the first pitch. The Long Beach Coast will begin play in the Pioneer Baseball League in May 2026, with the home opener set for June 2 at historic Blair Field. The club will announce additional player signings and community initiatives as excitement builds toward Opening Day.
