Ballers Take Game Three Over Coast
Coast Early Home Run Rally Was Not Enough As The Ballers Pulled Away Late For An 11-5 win.
The Long Beach Coast played the Oakland Ballers in game three of a six-game series. After the Coast secured a 15-11 victory in game two, the Ballers bounced back with an 11-5 win to take the series lead.
Kristófer Bow started on the mound for the Coast and pitched four complete innings while striking out five batters.
The Ballers plated a run in the bottom of the first, but the Coast answered with a slugfest in the top of the second. Paul Winland Jr., Jacob Jablonski, and Eddy Pelc all homered in the inning. Winland Jr. has homered in every game of the series, while Jablonski continued his hot streak after hitting two home runs in game two, including a grand slam. The Coast added another run to end the inning with a 4-1 lead.
The Ballers responded in the bottom of the second by tying the game before taking the lead in the third inning. Coast infielder Tyler Young kept the game close with a solo home run on a 1-2 count in the top of the fourth.
With the game tied entering the fifth inning, the Ballers rallied for three runs to take a 7-4 lead. Oakland added three more runs in the sixth inning to secure the 11-5 victory. The Coast returns to the field tomorrow for game four of the six-game series against the Ballers.
