Long Beach Coast Names FTRS Training Center as Official Player Development and Training Partner
The Long Beach Coast announces a new player development and training partner.
LONG BEACH, Calif. — The Long Beach Coast today announced FTRS Training Center, pronounced “Futures,” as the Official Player Development and Training Partner of the Long Beach Coast, bringing one of Southern California’s premier baseball development organizations into the club’s growing network of local partners.
Through the partnership, Coast players will receive access to FTRS Training Center’s Long Beach facility, located just minutes from Blair Field. The facility will support Coast athletes with hitting, pitching, strength and speed training, technology-driven development, objective performance feedback, and additional resources designed to help players prepare, compete, and continue advancing in their careers.
For the Coast, the partnership represents another step toward building a serious professional baseball organization in Long Beach — one committed not only to creating a great fan experience, but also to supporting the athletes on the field with high-level development resources.
“From the beginning, we have wanted the Long Beach Coast to be more than a team that plays here. We want this organization to be part of building something meaningful for baseball in Long Beach,” said Claire Duvendeck, VP and General Manager. “Partnering with FTRS gives our players access to an elite local training environment and connects our club with a group that shares our vision for growing the game in this city.”
The partnership also connects two organizations with a shared belief in the future of Long Beach baseball. Brothers Chase and Travis d’Arnaud have long believed Long Beach has the athletes, families, coaches, and baseball history to become a true powerhouse baseball city. Chase, a former Major League Baseball player, and Travis, a Long Beach native and current Los Angeles Angels catcher, helped bring FTRS to Long Beach to create a stronger player-development ecosystem for youth, high school, college, and professional baseball in the city.
That same vision now extends to the Coast, combining professional baseball with high-level training resources to help make Long Beach a source of baseball pride for years to come.
“Travis and I have always believed Long Beach has everything it needs to become one of the best baseball cities in the country,” said Chase d’Arnaud of FTRS Training Center. “Bringing FTRS to Long Beach was about giving athletes access to serious player-development resources right here in their own community. Partnering with the Coast is a natural next step because it connects those resources directly with professional baseball in the city. We are proud to support their players and excited for what this can mean for Long Beach baseball.”
In addition to supporting Coast players, FTRS’ presence in Long Beach continues to serve the next generation of athletes through its youth development programs, training memberships, performance testing, and FTRS Academy. The Academy is designed for serious student-athletes who want to combine strong academics with a development-focused daily schedule built around training, recovery, nutrition, and objective feedback.
“FTRS was built to give baseball players the resources, structure, coaching, and feedback they need to keep getting better,” said Nick Kern, co-founder and Director of Sports Performance at FTRS Training Center. “This partnership is exciting because it brings that same development mindset to the Coast while also showing young athletes in Long Beach what is possible when a city invests in baseball at every level.”
Fans and families will have the opportunity to connect with FTRS at the Long Beach Coast home game on July 26 at Blair Field. FTRS will be in the Kid Zone testing athletes in power, speed, throwing velocity, and bat speed, with winners receiving FTRS-signed Travis d’Arnaud bats and additional prizes.
Tickets for the July 26 game are available through the Long Beach Coast ticketing page.
